Our Alternative Fuels & Recyclables
We produce specific waste derived alternative fuels to our Clients specifications as well as well as separating
suitable waste for recycling. If you would be interested in any of these materials please feel free to contact us at: info@glanway.ie
Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)
This is a coarse low to medium calorific value fuel for Waste to Energy plants for heat and electricity generation.
RDF produced at our facility is sized from 50-350mm through our bag opener. It has been processed to remove organics and fine fractions as well as metals and most hard plastics & plastic films. The calorific value of the fuel is carefully controlled in order to meet our Clients requirements.
Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF)
This is a fine high calorific value fuel for Cement plants to use in place of fossil fuels such as coal in their cement production process.
SRF produced at our facility is sized from 50-350mm depending on our Client requirements. It has been processed to remove all organic fraction, fines and 3D fraction as well as Chlorine removal. The calorific value of the fuel is carefully controlled in order to meet our Clients requirements.
Ferrous Metal Scrap
This is ferrous metal removed from the MSW for recycling.

Non Ferrous Metal Scrap
This is non-ferrous metal removed from the MSW for recycling.
The non-ferrous metal has been removed from the MSW via an eddy current separator and is made up of mainly aluminium cans, etc.
PET
This is PET removed from the MSW for recycling.
The PET plastic has been removed from the MSW via optical sorters and is made up of mainly drinks bottles (including clear bottles), etc.
HDPE
This is HDPE removed from the MSW for recycling.
The HDPE plastic has been removed from the MSW via optical sorters and is made up of mainly cartons (including clear cartons), etc.
Plastic Film
